I also have an old Sears air compressor, about 25 years old. I found a belt at the local industrial supply shop.

It is a Poly V belt and for the old Sears compressor it has a part number of BT-31 if it is for the twin cylinder tank type compressor.
The model numbers which this belt fits are: F/106.154541,106.153542, 106.154540, and 106.154570 and the number on the belt is 6J49. It can be found in Hardware and Tools at The www.sears.com/ website. You can probably order it if there isn't any Sears parts and service in your area. I found a little compressor shop in the area which also stocks them. Good luck.
