Hello Group:

Looking at picking up this tank. Has no ASME Label on it. But, has been used for a Air tank.
Any thoughts? Looks like it was a tank for a Halon fire system. Thanks for any opions.

HEY DONT WORRY about it, pumpo it full of air, from your compresser, if it's still in one piece bypass that little safty switch on your compresser and pump it up to a couple hundred pounds, just stand WAY WAY back when you do this AND try to set the tank near something you dont want in one piece anymore( iwould suggest a beaver dam that shouldnt be where it is(if you dont have one you canm borrow mine)..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..HEY seriously I'm kidding never use a pressure vessel thats not safe its way way bad(unless you have beavers on your land)

It does not look like it was built to ASME code. I say this because it does not seem to have the correct ends on it. If you cannot find a tag, I would not recommend it for air storage at any significant pressure. What happens with non code tanks is that they can fatigue and let loose unexpectedly. The results can be fatal. Please be careful.

Hello

The more I think about it the more I am becoming aware that this is not a good idea.

Thanks
John

Ditto on the 100# propane bottle.
