Update on 220v single phase motor wont start.

Well I took the advice and pulled the end bell off the motor and cleaned/lubricated the start switch, and presto! we are back in business again! thanks for the advice! Gene

I have an open frame type of motor on my table saw (maybe not the best idea I know) and once in a while it will get a bit of sawdust in the contacts of that switch, same problem, have to blow it out with the air hose.
