Hi, I have a 70s Craftsman radial arm saw. It works great but I need to convert it from 110 voltage to 220. I have tryed to get in to the casing but for some reason I can't open it. Does anyone know how to get into a Motor model number C48BC102? It is a Craftsman radial arm saw model 113.19771. If anyone has a manual on getting into the motor and switching it over to 220 voltage it would really help. Thanks.

I recently acquired this same saw (dumpster diving). If anyone has an owner's manual for a reasonable price I'd appreciate it. On the sears website the namual is 7.49, but they want 4.49 for S&H plus tax. I'm not willing to shell out 20.00 for a saw that might not even work.

I have the exect same model and just opened the moter. there are four screws on the bottom of the motor, then the top of the motor comes off to reveal the wiring block. Mine is set to 220 and I want to make it 120. I will send you a picture of it wired for 220 if you send me an email. I would like to see your 110 volt setup when you open it.

My saw isn't that model number but to switch voltages you do it under a cover on the rear of the arm where the cord enters not at the motor.

If you had a model 113.29410, you would find all the terminals inside the terminal box on the motor. You would also need to replace the 115v plug with a 220v plug.

If you can't convert it look for a surplus MACHINE TOOL TRANSFORMER or similar dry transformer of adequate KVA to convert your 220 volts to 110 to run the saw.

I am sure this can not be converted to 220V.
This model number was made by emerson elec. I do not recall the particular web site, but use "Google search engine" for sears radial arm saw recalls. You can get details on the recall there.

manual is still listed Sears.com, tools, parts, 113.19771 however looking through parts list only one capacitor is listed. are you sure this saw has a dual voltage motor?
