I have an "old" Poulan chainsaw - I think the model number has worn off the plate on top of the motor housing, so I don't know what model it is. However, it is green, has open exhaust ( you can plainly see the piston), has at least a 20" bar on it, is a manual pushbutton chain oiler and has a centrifugal clucth on it. The carburater is inside the metal chainsaw housing. It has a gas fill on right and left of handle (same tank) and the oil fill is on the right. It is a very heavy chainsaw, wears me out pretty quick. The clutch has lost all of its lining and needs relined/replaced - but I would like to know the model number of the machine before I try to get parts. This is a great cutting machine and I would like to get it going again. Anybody have any ideas on what the model number might be, or when it was made? Thanks!!

Not sure what you got there. Sounds pretty old though could you get a picture of it? Have a look at this site and see if theres any Poulans that match yours.

Great web site! Looks like mine is very similar to the picture for the Model 71A. I will post some pictures of it tonight when I get home so maybe we can narrow it down some more. Thanks.
