After I smoked the starter on my Cub, and had it rebuilt, a friend gave me a 'battery cut-out switch' - the switch itself is a round plastic casing with plastic key mfg. by Hella, and has two brass/bronze connectors - one mounts on the battery post, and the other is a post for the cable. It works well, even if it doesn't look right on such a nice piece of old iron - besides, the battery box has been gone for years....
The problem is that another Cub-owning friend would like one also, and we have no idea where it came from - the switch part itself is a standard Hella product, but the nicely cast and fitted bronze lugs might be a marine application? or ? - the only markings on them are "AK".

Bob, The type of switch that you mention is readily available from J.C.Whitney, Summitt, Speedway Products and most large auto parts stores. The prices range from under $20 to well over $100 for the NASCAR approved types...Eddie Petty.
