Where can one purchase a good quality sleeve puller. Purchased one a few years back from an ad in RED POWER but is not of good quality. I need disc size 45/8.

Are you pulling wet or dry sleeves? Wet sleeves a good plate and a piece of fine threaded ready rod should work. dry sleeves go with the kent More or OTC. The OTC is more of ag engine application, The Kent more more on the bigger truck diesel side.

Well I have spent all weekend and I have all but one sleeve out. Have bought more threaded rod than in entire year. Thats why I need a good sleeve puller. Where can I find a KentMoore. By the way sleeves are in a WD9. The only thing left of the original puller is the top piece. Thanks for the reply's.

Richard, My dad had the same problem with a TD-9
Block. We bent the end of a welding rod in a "L" shape. With my stick welder, I ran 4 beads from near the bottom to the top of the sleeve. When looking down at the sleeve, the beads were positioned at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. After it cooled, they came out fairly easy with a threaded rod puller.

can't you take a piece of steel and torch it close to size and do a little grinding, drill a hole in the middle and use a treaded rod and some blocking of some kind on top of block.. That is what i use .

If you don't need a whole set any good machine shop can spin you out a plate. Earl

Go to brg supply and you can get the acme rod already made up its cheaper than trying to make .You are exactly right it has a lot more and easier pulling power. Earl In Illinois

I am in the diesel truck repair business and the one's we use are Kent-Moore and OTC. Both are good quality. If you can not find a dealer ask the local diesel engine shops ie; Cat, Cummins and Detroit Diesel
