I got a dewalt model d55155 compressor. Any idea what model it is close to in emglo's line up?? and also, if i leave my compressor charged, it slowly leaks down, is this normal?? If not mite it be a warranty item?? I have used soapy water on all connections and can find no leaks.. This model has a plastic line with some kind of friction connector. I think this might be my leak, Any ideas??

Thanks Chris

The plastic line is probably just the unloader line to the needle valve on the switch. There should be no air leaking from it after the initial shot of air after shutdown.

I have never seen a 100% air-tight compressor. Unless it is cycling excessively, I wouldn't worry about it. Quick couplers are the most likely source for leaks, and you will never get a perfect seal from them, especially with lines connected.

No idea what Emglo model it corresponds to. I don't think there is an exact correlation to an Emglo, as I have never seen an Emglo with the carrying cage/gauges/manifold setup as the Dewalt. The pumps and motors are the same, that's about it. Actually, looking at their website, I don't see the small contractor units anymore. Perhaps they are only sold as Dewalt's now.

Nope the plastic line feeds the manifold from the pressure switch. I reangled the fittings to see if that would help. It is not cycling excessive, just annoying that it loses pressure. My big campbell hausfeld will hold a full tank for months.. Oh well keep tinkering and maybe some day get it right.. On the model, any idea what emglo model uses a pump similiar to my pump?? I remeber reading a mk-200 on the pump..

Thanks roger!!
