I have a new well. The water at the house has no smell and tastes very good. I ran about 80' of CPVC plastic to my pole barn and the water at that point has a "burnt oil" smell. I have let it run for hours thinking it needed to be flushed out but the smell and taste won't go away. What's up?

The residual solvents from the cement may take a few weeks to dissipate. Running lots of water will not hasten the process, it only flushes out the solvents that have come out of the joints. I predict that it will be much better a month from now. Until then, water the stock as you were before the pipe installation.
