How and what is the best way to remove water in the tanks of my Emglo compressor. I have a nice 7.5 hp Emglo twin tank wheelbarrow type. The thing set me back around 700.00 and I am wondering how you drain the water from inside the tanks. I usually open up the valves and let the air exhuast out and with it dirty water. Is there anyhting I can spray inside the tanks to help retard the inevitable rust?

Wouldn't hurt to run some alcohol thru the air intake occasionally ,buy it as air brake dryer for large trucks with air brakes

You can get an automatic drain unit that you install on the bottom of your compressor. It will open as needed to drain the water. I know that NAPA sells one made by a divison of Gates, the old Douglas Air compressor Co. in Alta Vista VA. I think it is about $150 or so. Might be wrong on that one.
