Does anyone know how to cut 1/4" laminated safety glass? Can it be done? What kind of equipment is needed? I have a piece that's ~2'x3' and would like to have 6 pieces that are 1'x1'.
Thanks,
John

Score it on both sides. If you can flex it a little, you can cut the plastic in between with a razor blade. I have heard of scoring it, laying a string soaked with lighter fluid along the line, and lighting it on fire. The heat of the fire is supposed to crack the glass along the line and melt the plastic. I cut a lot of it for windows for my old pickup when I was in high school. You don't want to know how long ago that was.

I have seen it cut several times....they mark it then score it with cutter, then gently move it till the cut moves,Then they pour laquor thinner into crack on and cut with a razor blade.Looked real easly done to me.
