Any one have any input on the electric chainsaw pruners that mount on a pole? Obvious con is the need for the long extension cord. Thanks for your responses. Merle

The couple people I have talked to about this use the electric models, probably due to cost. They either have power points in the bucket or generators on trailers so cords are not an issue there. I have put one together for a neighbor that was electric and you could remove the saw and use it as a hand held tool as well. It was bought at True Value Hardware but I'm sure your local store has them that way too. They both look to weigh about the same but the motor being at the bottom of the gas model might be better balanced. The link shows you both models and the gas appears to cost twice as much. Maybe you could rent one or both styles before you buy. Just my 2c and keep the change.

Thanks- I like the idea of the gas one having the weight at the bottom.
