Anybody know Generac generators?

I'm hoping to find someone who has some familiarity with older Generac generators. I picked up a 500W portable 2-stroke Sears genny from the dump today. The model code indicates it's a Generac product. It's in fine shape except for one thing: a rubber grommet/seal where the filler pipe meets the gas tank has turned to jelly. Sears no longer supplies parts for this model. Generac is my only hope now.

Does anyone know the Generac model number for this generator? Small 500W unit, probably mid-'80s, AC/DC output, 1HP 2-stroke engine, belt-driven generator, gas tank on the bottom of the unit with the fill pipe going up to the top.

Thanks

Hi John,

Permatex Red or Copper RTV is gasoline resistant for continous immersion in fuel.
