Shop Painting.....Big Guns? (kinda OT)

Gents,
I'm in the process of adding a 24 x 24 addition to my shop which will be covered with T1-11 exterior and CDX ply on the inside. Now I've got to plan on painting everything.

I remember using a miserable little Wagner 10 years ago, and by the sound of it they haven't improved. After talking to the local rental yards, I can't justify $100.00 a day for a "pro" gun on wheels which straddles a 5 gail pail.

Anybody got any ideas? I figure with the inside and outside I've got about 150 linear feet of rough siding to cover, and I REALLY dont want to do it (especially the T1-11) with a roller and a brush!

spray painting over rough siding is not good unless you brush or roll it in after spraying. Use a 5 gallon bucket with bucket screen and a heavy/long nap roller and long handle. I usually do the cutting in (areas roller won't get) along with the rolling as not to create lap marks. There are paints/stains on the market that will cover your t-111 in one coat and give years of service.

Used the Wagner power painter myself on my previous house and it had T1-11 too. Use the sprayer to apply paint (maybe 15 feet at a time) and then go back quick like and back roll it with a thick nap roller (or have someone follow along behind and do it). It really isn't that bad. Worked pretty well and I did 2 coats, plus primer on the whole house in about 2 days, with dry time. It'll save you the $100 if you already have the wagner, and it works pretty well. The backrolling is the important part.
