Tire problems?

Hi guys! I've got a tripple axle tag along equipment trailer that has a problem when it is empty. At about 32 MPH it bounces up and down and causes the rear end of my dually to do the same thing. Above or below 32 MPH everything is fine. I borrowed a Hunter wheel balancer from a friend to check the tires and found that about four of the six tires are out of round. They are heavy duty bias ply tires. Should I replace these with radials? Thanks for the help!

Try breaking the tires down and rotate the tires 180 degrees on the rim.

Paul, How bad out of round are they? If not too bad, have them trued up and rebalanced. I've had to have the last two sets of truck tires I bought trued up to get the ride I wanted. But I don't like the least bounce or shimmy in my ride. Guess I'm too curious, huh!

Paul, radials are great if you pull at high speeds for extended periods, they build up very little heat. The disadvantages are cost, very weak sidewalls ( they puncture easly ) & not very much lateral stability. Usually bias ply tires have a higher weight rating also. If they are "mobile home type" wheels make sure they don't have any wobble in them after they are mounted & installed.
