I have a Milwalkee deep cut variable speed band saw I bought at Home Depot for 3 and a half I htink and I love it it takes some getting used to to cut straight but it is so much better than my chopsaw it will however opnly cut straight (or a close derivative0 it will not cut 45 degree angles which I was disapointed about but for cutting pipe and round stock it is the best

I've worn out several as a contractor. One Milw. two Black and Decker. The last one I bought is a gear drive Porter Cable. It's the best one yet. I recommend staying away from the chain drive units. Use a stick lubricant on your blade for fast cutting and long blade life.

I bought a Milwaukee deep cut bandsaw a few years back. I use it alot, and it works well. If I cut anything of size, I need to mark it really well as it is all over the place. I wish I had a chopsaw for a lot of layout work, save the bandsaw for what the chopsaw can't do.
