I have a old 3/4hp. motor,110/220 vt. 10/5 amp. Frame- KS80 BN. It is wired for 110 vts at present. It has five wires coming out of the case.Line voltage is hooked to #5 and #s 3&4,leads #s 2&6 are connected together.Any body know which ones I have to change to run on 220VT.? Is this thing reversable? I couldn't find a tag on it that shows anything. Good running motor, would like to ues it on my table saw.

there isn't a set of 110 and 220 volt windings . there is two sets which are start and run windings .... to get 110 or 220 volt each set of windings is split in the middle so they can be connected in series for 220 volt or paralleled for 110 volt

Hi Dave,

Sorry this is not a good day for me to explain how to use a VOM to tell which winding are 115/230v. Check out a book on electric motors/generators in the libarary and it'll give you the procedure. It will be the same for identifying generator leads.
