I bought a 5 hp contractor S-V with a two year warranty. After using it a couple of times it wouldn't run. I took it to thier service center and told the guy that I suspected the switch was the problem. After a week I phoned to see it it had been repaired and the guy said they hadn't received the motor. I asked about the switch and he said it was all a one piece unit so they were changing everything on the garantee. Later I picked it up and asked if I was still covered for two years and he replied "only for the original two years". I would have like a have had more coverage as it seemed that if the switch was troublesome again I would also have to buy a new motor. At any rate it now works great - lots of suck ! I'm glad however that if the switch goes on my truck I don't have to change the motor.
