Got an 075AV at an auction for $20 that needs a new piston. Haven't checked local dealers yet, but I get the feeling that I'm going to get the same response as I did when getting a piston for my 045--no longer available.

Does anybody know where I can get good aftermarket pistons? I have several Mahle pistons for a different saw. Their website is next to useless for looking up pistons unless you have a BMW.

Great saw. Very valuable for an old one. I don't know about aftermarket pistons, but the basic 075 frame is still used on the TS-760 demo saw. Personally, I'd try to get a used or NOS one. Ask over on arboristsite.com. Lots of old Stihl guys hang out there.
