Do you have one of these? Good? Bad? So-So?

I think they're not such a bad idea if you have a patio-size yard, but I don't like them. The only cordless trimmers I use are gas.

I had a Clip Stick, very light duty not very good. I now have a Robi, medium duty, I like it for trimming after mowing, 12 volt battery in handle motor on head well balanced, I'ved replaced the battery once, I like it for what I use it for.

worked for disston during the begining of the cordless days. what a joke. weed eaters that ran for 7 minutes, a battery powered lawnmower that mowed a 16" wide path. a buddy and i designed rechargable flashlights from yard care products. the president of the company looked at them and said "they're nice, but i don't think anyone will ever purchase a rechargable flashlight". he locked them up in a closet called the "archive". as he did so, i saw a model of a cordless handheld vacuum cleaner that an employee had made, on the shelf. about 4 years later black and decker came out with the dustbuster. while we spent millions in weedeaters, we let the handsaw side of the company suffer. all gone now. kinda like the electric car, good idea, but the batteries just don't have the guts to weight ratio, not yet.

Have had some. Would never buy another one. Now what may be right for you could be wrong for me. Now if I had a very small yard were an outlet was easily accessable, then I would probably prefer it over a gas due to the fact that you eliminate the need to mix gas and oil. You get rid of the mess. The gas models are more portable and much more powerful. It just depends on what you are going to do. The electric ones are nice but are a matter of convience. I like my gas model.
