Cuts out at high rpm's, idles good, poor acceleration. Have replaced air filter, spark plug, fresh fuel, cleaned spark arrestor screen, will not adjust out with high speed adjusting screw. Can't figure out how to change fuel filter, would this help? By the way how do you get the filter out, and back in?? Any help would be greatly appreacited!!!

Can you see the filter on the end of the pickup tube? Pull it out with a wire and remove it. Blown thru the fitting end (use a clean piece of tubing): it should be easy to get air thru it. If not, replace it. Look for breaks in the line where air can be sucked in. Check the line all the way to the carb. When tubes get old they can crack and leak air. It sounds like it's getting enough fuel to idle, but not enough to run at high speed. If the filter is bad and letting dirt thru, there may be some in the high speed circuit of the carb. If you see no problem with the fuel supply, take the carb apart and make sure everything is clean. Reassemble and test before buying a carb kit. Kits are getting pricy now. I use model aircraft tubing for fuel line; it seems to last longer then saw shop line. The hobby shop has fuel filters also. There is a small possibility the the problem is ignition related.

Rebuilding Carburettor is ok, like John says. But at first, I would replace the Fuelfilter. Cause it`s not so much work. If this doesn`t work, You can do like John said.

Rebuild the carb, first rebuild the carb. Then the fuel filter. You fish it out of the tank with a bent wire. Check the crank seals if these things don't solve it.
