Rigid Chop Saw Parts? They Gotta Be Kidding!

Gents,
Any idea where to get replacement parts for a Rigid Chop Saw?

There are three small shims that the turntable glides on when switching from one mitre to another. Basically 1/4" flat stock with a bend on each end.

I went to the Rigid site and item #8 (the correct item in the pic) is listed as a "shim Table" and they want $84.00 for it!

I've emailed them once a day for three days and no response. I called DEPOT and they told me I needed to go to the RIGID website.

Any Ideas?

I called the GM from the local Depot and he forewarded the C/S number for Ridgid to me.

Rigid re-tooled the base plate on the saw, and now the shims are an integral part of the base plate. I gave them the model # and serial#, and they are sending me a whole new improved base plate under the lifetime warantee!

Ridged had updated the parts list, but not the diagram. Thats why the part# was listed at $85.00!

You can buy shim stock in sheets in many thickness' from an auto parts store, and like was already said, just make what you need. Robert

Gotta be a misprint!Checking their site,other prices,though a tad spendy are reasonable and similar part for their other saws is listed at $3ea....Methinks somebody did poor proofreading job.
