I just got this OC-3 Oliver crawler with a supposedly rebuilt engine. It only registers 10 lbs of oil pressure at full throttle! But, it runs and and runs. What's up here? Any one know what the pressure should be?

thanks for any help

Martin, I have an OC-3 OLiver crawler also. Have not had it running for a few years, but it seems to me the oil pressure was round 40 - 60 psi at full throttle when cold. Once warmed up it dropped back to about 40 at full throttle with 30 wt motor oil. You might want to try another oil pressure gauge in case there is something wrong with the gauge. If gauge is ok, check oil pressure relief valve. I think it is located below the oil filter. Mine stuck shut and caused an oil leak at the oil filter. Yours might be stuck open, relieving too much oil and not letting the oil pressure build up.
Its been a long tiime so I hope I am remembering right, but I do know it should have more then 10 psi. Hope this helps.

Will
