I must have over fifty of them in the insulation of the roof at the peak. I thought of trying an ultrasonic device but I don't know if it will work. What other non-harmful way is there?

TMAC, Have ya ever heard of a "Bat Box"? We had a similar problem. They kept gett'n in some of the warehouses were I work. So we made a few in the woodshop from some sketches we got online. Approx. dimins. are 24"(L)x18"(W)x8"(D). The key was the inside. About every 1" was a plywood panel/divider, ruffed up so they can latch on to it w/their claws. They love tight quarters. I believe the farmers around here collect'em up now and then. I read were 1 average bat can consume 400-600 insects in 1 night. Man, RAID can't even hold a candle to one of them critters!!!! Take Care!

Great suggestion, around here they call those bat houses. you are right bats consume very many insects. They do it in flight. To the guy wanting to get rid of bats in shop, first create them a new home. One of the most efficient ways to get rid of mosquitos and other bothersome insects.

Just thought I would throw this in...Find where they are getting in (droppings should tell you) then after they leave in the evening to feed nail screen or hardware cloth on the opening. Don't use netting they will get caught in it. If you have any stragglers they will get hungry real quick so take the screen down the next evening and they will leave then replace the screen.

I hope this helps...

MOTH BALLS TWICE A YEAR!!! In a dish or throw them around either way works.
We used to get them at my dads house in the summer till we tryed moth balls, maybe one a year or less. They say that moth balls help keep mice and bugs out too. tiny

Went down to the neighbors house one day and he was putting moth balls around the shrubs along the front of the house. When questioning about it he said his mother told him that it would keep the dogs from urinating on them. I was looking behind him as 'ol Henry (my Sharpei) had his leg raised up getting the mothballs...he never did like to go by human rules. He used to lay in the center of the road bout this time of year (road surface warmer) and I would holler at him to get out of the road...but after he was 30 feet away...the rules quit applying. 'Ol Henry was a dandy...he finally went blind and lost his way home...we looked and looked...even for buzzards...but nothing. The labs I have now are real intelligent...in comparison to him. TMAC what you want to do is figure out where they are coming in and then hang screen over the opening or openings on the outside of the building like a flap so that they can leave but not get back in.
then when you are sure that they are all gone tack down the rest of the screen. You want to use a lightweight nylon screen.
Good luck
