Does anyone have a drawing or sketch of putting power steering on an "H" Farmall with a Charlyn steering motor that goes on the steering shaft??
I have an "H" Farmall with a loader and an extra power steering motor laying around and was wondering if anyone has done this. I was thinking of using the steering pump and resavoir off of a GM car to possibly make this work. Pump would be belt driven. SURE WOULD MAKE THIS THING TURN EASIER WITH A LOADED BUCKET. Thanks for all replies or e-mails.

The type power steering unit that you are talking about is the char-lynn torque amplifier. This type uses 1000# pressure and was used on the Oliver 55 and 550. Problems are that the tourque is transfered to the steering gears which are not designed for that amount of force. I'll put a link to a Ford PS unit, it shows the details of the amplifier.
