Can anyone tell me how to replace the spark plug wire on an old (blue & white) Homelite 150? Do I have to replace the whole coil, or is there a way to remove the old wire & connect a new one? ANy help appreciated.

Being that old it should just screw right out of the coil. You twist the wire near the coil and it will come off there is a screw that the wire threads into in there. Just the reverse to put a new one in. You'll know if its glued in there will be glue at the wire connection on the coil. An d the wire will not come out. You'd have to solder it then.

Well, if yiu're handy with a soldering iron, and the wire has a solder on terminal on the coil it ought to be easy. If the wire is molded into the plastic case of the coil, you can probably cut the wire near the case and solder on a new one. I suggest you would want to insulate either well with a big gob of silicone glue.
