I Have a farmall H with an aftermarket 3 Pt. Hitch.
The Cylinder is marked IH. It is leaking through the weep hole. I bought a repair kit that i think is the right size. However,,, I can't seem to get the piston apart. The end cap turns and seems to come apart somewhat (small Crack). But goes no farther. Do I need to put pressure on the cylinder or what??? Please Help asap!

With caution, I would suggest applying air to the cylinder to drive the rod out. HOWEVER, a small amount of air with an air compressor applied can generate a tremendous force. Clamp the cylinder is a good vise, point the rod away from anything, be sure the end screw is loose, and be very careful. When they pop .....they pop
