I found a post here the other day for repairing rechargable batteries, someone had a phone# in Indiana that repairs them. I can't find it now. Any help? Thanks...

Mark,
The number for Batteries Plus in Muncie, IN: 765-282-2288, ask for Kevin (runs the place).
He does all mine since I'm out of the business. He can test, repair, rebuild, and sometimes rejuvenate just about any type rechargeable battery. I don't know how he handles shipping, since I run through there often on business.
Hope this helps, Bill C.

Mark,

The Clinical Engineering boys here at the hospital claim that you can take the battery case (cordless drill battery) apart and inside is a series of small, i.e., 2 volt or 4 volt, etc., batteries(apparently this is where the term "battery" comes from). You then test each individual battery to see which one is not performing up to snuff and replace only the bad cell. Apparently the battery stores stock many of the battery cells for replacement of this type of battery. I haven't tried it myself, but what do I have to lose once the battery is no longer any good?

Can't help you with that number. As an alternative, try E.H. Yost, or Batteries America. They have a website, and do lots of replacement batteries. Have done well by me over the years.
