Does anyone have a brand that they would recommend? I am tired of paying 79 or 99 dollars and having the pumps quit working! Looking for something a little better without breaking the bank ($250)

Thanks

I built my parts washer from scratch. I used an old double kitchen sink in an old washtub frame. Plumbed the drain into a 5 gallon bucket underneath it. Mounted an oil pump from an old 289 under it so the dist shaft extends up through one of the faucet holes. Drive it with a reversable 3/8 drill. Hooked a hose and brush to the pressure side of the pump. Hooked a hose and suction screen from the 289 to the suction side of the pump and dropped it to the bottom of the pail. Works very well. Been using it now for 23 years. Good Luck

A Rule bildge pump works great and they're under 20 bucks and portable (12volt). Disadvantage is they require a battery or battery charger to operate at home. They are coast guard approved and fuel - varsol will not hurt them. I used mine for years and years and loved the extra flow it has. Guys here at work go by the Ford house and pickup used Fuel pumps but they to are 12 volts. The bildge pump will not stop up, well, not very easily.

I purchased a Goodell parts washer about 12 years ago, have had good luck with it. I was going to buy from Harbor freight in CA but found the local dealers were cheaper and also they had cleaning fluid in stock. Just my 2 cents worth.

A little etra here. Add a gallon
of water to your cleaning fluid (mineral apirits) This is what the commercial firms use as a filtering medium. Inother words, the water is at the bottom, the dirt goes to the water and stays there rather than staying suspended in the cleaner.
