any one ever used this drill?? I bought one a few years ago and I am amazed at the power of this thing. It is only a 5.5 amp motor but has the triple gear reduction.. I must say I was quit surprised of the power this thing makes... Any comments welcome....

I, too have the 12v "Firestorm" cordless.
It does have a lot of power for a cordless, very handy
I have a B&D corded as wells, and it has even more power.

Most of the B&D Firestorm drills use the same pattern battery as the DeWalts. Make for easy upgrading, or cheap batteries for your DeWalt.

Actually I think that B&D makes a pretty decent consumer grade drill. I have a "Firestorm" 12v cordless. I wish I had made the jump all the way to 14v but only so I could have better battery life. My drill has plenty of power, but when you drive 2" screws you only get a couple, well maybe 10 on a charge. It'll drive 1" screws all day...

It's an inexpensive drill, but I hear they're well made for the class. I only only buy used commercial tools so I don't have any hands-on time with it.
