Has anyone used the Poulan-Weedeater two stroke oil that has a fuel stabilizer already in it. Is this good enough to keep the fuel through the winter without gumming up the carburetor.

A friend of mine uses Arctic Cat oil with stabilizer (Purple Power lube) in everything he owns. It seems okay, but I still use stablizer mixed at the minimum in every can of gas I make. Better safe and out the price of the stabil, than sorry.

Suggestion: I mix up one gallon at a time using the pre-sized oil for the one gallon. Write the date mixed on the label on gas can. If the gas/oil mixuture get 2 months old, I pour it in my pickup and mix a new batch. Since I get to use the gas anyway, it only costs me about $.79 for the 2-cycle oil; small change for always using fresh, clean 2-cycle mix in my trimmer, chain saw, blower, etc. Stihl (sp) recommends storing the mix no longer than 2 months. And, I always add Stabil to every can (costs $.25) so I never worry about mix in the tools' tanks gumming up. This system has never let me down, and I never have to worry about the season, and have never had to clean a carb. My 2 cts.

I have used the Poulan/Weedeater oil in my weedeater for 12 years and have had no gum up problems or anything like that. For about 5 of those years I was only using a couple of gallons of mix a year, so it sat around for a long time in the can.
