I know nothing about stick welding but have been given over 100 lbs. of the above rod.
What are some uses that it can be put to?

normal size rod is 3/32 or maybe 1/8 inch. if you are welding with 3/16 diameter rod you better be making something out of 3/8 plate or better.

Hi Lionel,

8010G is considered a vertical down electrode for 5g pipe ( horizontal pipe) welding. Very deep pentration and can be used in all positions including vertical up welds and on other shapes than pipe. Has very thin slag cover.

8010G is a pipe rod . Welds like 6010-6011. Use as general porpose rod. FRED
