I've got a 1 1/2 story 1500 sq ft house with a partial basement. Anyone out there know what it would cost me to have a completely new full height full basement put in?

I'm in southern Iowa and have no clue as to whom to even call to get a quote.

Talk to a house mover and block contractor. Mover is needed to jack the house or hold it where it is. Five years ago my quote was about $16,000 for jacking and block work for 1 1/2 story 3 BR. House was rotting, tore it down, new full basement (1600 sf) foundation was about $6800.

Your job will require a regular renovation type contractor. Since your job is oriented to foundation work you can probably get a good reference source from a local redi-mix company. They should be aware of this type of contractor.
Good Luck.

I just had a basement wall replaced. Cost 115 per foot with footing. Call a local contractor from the phone book.
