You may want to try some of your local welding supply houses first as many of them have demo machines, machines that have been repaired and never picked up, etc for sale at reasonable prices. I know you said you have looked at E-bay, and yes many times the machines listed there are a bit on the high side, especially when you factor in the shipping, but, their are alot of good deals if you look long enough. I've been looking on there for over a year and have seen some real steals, but just not specifically what I was looking for. There is one place with a store name like Mother Earth Recycling or something like that, out of I believe CA that always seems to have alot of welders and they seem to have pretty reasonable prices on them too, at least in my opinion. Also, don't forget to look at any accessories that may come with a used machine, when you consider the asking price. Most times you would have to buy them seperately anyway, and things like regulators, different torches, roll around carts, etc all add up. Just remember, a used welder is a used welder, but used or not, a really good welder isn't gonna be really cheap...in other words, you'll get what you pay for. You may also want to look at the post I placed a couple days ago looking for an industrial welder. There are a couple of links in the responses that are really good. I'd put them here for you, but I'm not that computer literate yet. Good luck, Wayne
