Not wanting to start something (OK, so maybe I am), but what is your favorite recipe for carb dip. Have found nothing as good as the old Gunk Hydro-seal, not the new "improved" version. Realize that this stuff was BAD for you, dangerous fumes, carcinogens, pollution, etc., but it WORKED. Other than using spray carb clean and a brush what good juices work? Thanks in advance. Dave

I dont use anything but laquer paint thinner. It works very well and is a lot cheaper than any carb cleaner.

Berryman I thought was the best, I'm talking about the old fashion stuff that would put hair on your chest and take it off your arms!

When Berrymans didn't work, then I use old fashion coke in a can. Gets it unstopped everytime. As a matter of fact, my sisters 4 wheeler had been parked several years and the ole' carb was stopped up bad. Soaked it in some Chemtool for 2 days, and still plugged, soaked it in coke for a couple of hours then blew it out. Use welding tip cleaners to finish the jets up.
She runs like a new one.

LOL...yep, that Berrymans is good stuff. Saw a
rookie mechanic reach down to the bottom of one of
those 5 gallon cans, feeling around for a float
pin once...was'nt wearing any gloves. He never did
that again!

Thanks guys. Hadn't heard of Berryman's before, everyone around here pushes Gunk products. Found Berryman's website and will try the Chem-dip on my next carb. Learn something new every day here on YT.
Don't know why I didn't think of the Coke, dumb me, I keep thinking it's to drink!:-)
Happy new year. Dave

Coke is for drinking too. Takes lots of whiskey or rum mixed in to make go down right.
