Hey T-Bone,

Do I recall you once posting that you liked the Huntsman 411p fiber hood ? I need a new light weight hood and was wondering if this would shield the ears as well as some of the larger / to heavy plastic ones.

Thanks,

Bill

I use a 'zero cap' like the kind we use in our hard hats on cold days with my hood. Any of these contractor supply stores has them. Works real well, cept it does get a little warm on hot days.

Hi Bill,

Well it comes back to just even or a little behind the ear. I ware a welding cap, one to keep my hair from being tangled in the hood, two so I can turn the cap bil over the top of my ear to keep hot ones from sizziling down inside my ear. I tilt my head sideways to my right shoulder and thats keeps sparks out of the right ear and the bil keeps sparks out of the left ear.

Did that help?
