The heater I have problems with is a Torpedo type that runs off of #1 kero. The brand is ACE of Ace Industrial Products Division of Century Engineering Corp. 97,000 BTU Mod.# 100ES I know I never herd of them before.

These heaters can be a royal pain, but I repair them for a hardware store.
Start at the fuel supply screen inside the fuel supply tube-(this connects with a flare nut on the nozzle housing).
Make sure this is clean.
Next,check nozzle,spark plug,and fire-eye.
Clean ttese also.
Then check air filter, and air pressure.
To check pressure, most pumps have a plastic plug in the housing. Then, take a low pressure gauge, and a hose barb fitting and hose, and screw fitting into hole for plastic plug.
Then locate the fitting with a screwdriver slot and steel ball in it. This is the pressure regulator. Screw in for more pressure, out for less.
The key is aprox. 2 p.s.i. MAX.
When done, the center of the burner chamber should be red in the center.
Hope this helps you!
Mike

Hi Dave-
MOST parts are interchangeable.
There Is only a few manufacturers of these,Desa being the most common.

Kero, diesel, propane?

Convection, blower, infared?

Push ignite, electric, sparker?

And so on, too many options for anyone to make an intellegent reply.

I am a HVAC Tech/Installer. What kind of space heater is it? gas or electric? portable (small like for under a desk for your feet) or like a regular heater for your house? who makes it? do you have a model number? More info is needed to answer you question.
