I had never really herd much of bosch cordless, untill the other day. I was at a place that carries alot of reconditioned stuff. Found me a new 3860k 18 volt drill for reconditioed price. 140$$ turns out they were brand new, never out of the plastic. my initial impression was wow!! this thing has a sh** load of torque.. i am really impresed. My 12 volt dewalt both batteries are shot in under bout three years. so maybe these will last longer.. So did i get a good drill? What is you opinion on bosch cordless?

I installed office furniture for 9 years. Used Makita, Bosch, DeWalt, Hitachi. Never heard anyone say a bad thing about the Bosch. That would be my first choice if I were buying them for everyday use.

We alway made sure we had the Bosch when we were leveling(spinning the feet down with enough force to lift an entire run of office cubicles) because it had the most torque. The batteries also lasted longer than Dewalt.

Never heard anything good about the Hitachi. They were mostly burned up and thrown away in 2 years. We didn't use Bosches all the time, because the owners were always looking for something cheaper instead of sticking with what they knew was good.

I have a 9.6 volt bosch drill about 13 years old now. The batteries still hold a charge for a short use. I'm long overdue for new batteries if I can find a source. It has been a good drill so far.I also have 2 craftsman 12v and one 19.2v.

Bosch are excellent tools. I have a 13.2v cordless drill that is almost 4 years old and still working like brand new.

Bosch is a top brand tool just like Makita, Porter Cable, etc.
