Harness horse?

I have searched the web (via Google, etc.) and can turn up lots of harness horses but no harness horses. That is, when I search I end up with the harness-wearing, oats-eating variety, not the harness-mending device I'm seeking. Does anyone have information on sites that might show plans for or pictures of a harness horse, the old device used to clamp the harness in place while it is being repaired? I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about. I've also searched "farm antique tools" and similar phrases with no luck. All advice is appreciated.

might try a search for stitching horse. I've seen one on e-bay from time to time.

I have an old Popular Mechanics book from the early 50s that shows a homemade one from a wooden barrel mounted on brackets.

I found some links of interest to you by doing a Google search for "harness making" - here's one to an antique bench for sale with two pictures.
