Does any one have any plans to build a powerful chipper/shredder? Has any one ever built one? Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Yep pretty simple. I have studied a few different ones. the hardest thing to find/fabricate is probably the flywheel that the blade(s) is mounted on. They are basically just a metal box, a couple of pillow block bearings, a flywheel with blade(s), and a shaft to spin the things. I don't understand why they cost so much.

Hey guys, T-Bone,,....have you made the chipper?
I'd appreciate the news/details. I've thought out my own version which i'd like to run by y'all.
I want it to run off my tractor's PTO.
I have in mind to use a suspended/supported car/truck driveshaft/rear axles with the rims on. I want to fit 2 knives to a rim, between the outer bead seats, but havent found the appropriate (replaceable) blades. Any thoughts along these lines?
