Neutralize calc-clor on rear rims

Any body know a good way to neutralize the calcium cloride that leaks out of loaded rear tires. I fixed a leaky valve stem yesterday, but was wondering if I can use baking soda, castrol Super Clean, or ... to stop any further degradation of the rims.
Thanks,

no need to neutralize since it is not acidic (or basic). It is highly soluble in water, so it should wash right off. I use the taste test to determine if it still is present (pretty bitter/salty tasting). If your leaky valve stem resulted in some corrosion, you'll have to get that rust treated. Spot treat with Naval Jelly, wash with bicarb solution followed by water and paint.

The real problem is if there is one drop of it between the tube and rim. You will be buying new rims in the future if it gets going inside where you can't see it. If there is any chance of it being inside you had best take off the tire or at least break a bead and see.

Thanks Guys,
I'm getting the same advice from multiple sites (that's always encouraging). These tires are old, and the rims already have corrosion from years of neglect. They had these tires pumped up to the top. I drained off 15 gallons out of the tire with the worst valve stem, haven't gotten back to the other one yet. I don't really have a way to totally unload these tires (or a place to put it!), So I guess I'm just looking to slow the degradation at this point!
Thanks,
Stan(VA).

I got a couple tires loaded and the local ag tire place took it out for free so they could resel the salt. Otherwise, it is basically just like table salt but with calcium not sodium and environmentally is like salting a highway at winter time. Will kill weeds and grass until soil gets adjusted back. I prefer to use wheel weights as opposed to the fluid because of the rim corrosion problem.
