Check this website: www.grizzly.com
They have several drill presses listed along with many other tools.

I shopped around for a few months because I wasn't feeling any pressure to buy immediately, and finally bought a Delta on sale for $289 and change at Farm & Fleet. It's a 14.5 inch, with all the features. it's an excellent tool. A friend bought a Craftsman at about the same time and it's for sale if you are interested in it. He finds it hard to adjust the table because it doesn't have the crank up and down adjustment like the Delta. That may seem like a little thing but you will find you have to adjust it from job to job and it becomes an annoyance very quickly. Even if you have to pay a bit more it's better not to buy something that will be a disappointment. You'll quickly forget you paid a few bucks more if you are satisfied. But if you aren't satisfied, you'll be reminded every time you use it that you tried to save a few dollars. Mine was the best of both, a quality piece of machinery and a good price. I'm sure there are several other good brands to choose from but Craftsman doesn't seem to be one of them in my experience.

I'm not a Craftsman fan, particularly of their power tools, most of which are junk IMHO.

But, my Craftsman Drill Press has been excellent, and it DOES have the rack-and-pinion table adjustment, a well thought-out speed change system and a work light. Don't know who makes the machine for 'em, but like anything else, ya gotta check out the various models and get the options you want.

F14 has hit it right on the head. Look around and see if you can find a sale. Most of all, make sure the one you get has a good, straight quill and chuck. Buying the Taiwanese or Chinese imports can be a crap shoot. I had to exchange my drill press twice before I got one with a straight chuck (Harbor Freight).

I'd also suggest checking Grizzly as well.

I shopped around quite hard a couple of years ago. Looked at Ridgid, Jet, Delta, some Harbor Freight and Northen Tool brands, and wound up with a Craftsman from Sears. Less than $300 for a 1 hp 12 Speed 15" throat floor model with a 5/8" chuck capacity.

I've been very pleased.
