A few days ago i asked about my high pressure sodium yard light.


I got a new bulb, and my yard light works like new. The thing that really makes me mad. About 3 years ago the yard light i had before this one went on and off. My electrian told me they cant be fixed! I still have the old yard light, i will try a new bulb in it. If it works i will put it up in my machine shed for extra light.

Glad you have your problem solved Steve, you can find a wealth of knowledge on this board. As far as your "electrician" friend goes you will find that there are those that call themselves electricians but all they know is black go to black and white goes to white and their problem solving skills are very poor. A union electrician must serve a 5 year apprenticeship and put in 1000 hours of day school and also 100 hrs of night school before he can take his journeymens test. Been there and done that 22 years ago.

i did the same thing with my old one too , i got the bulb i ordered today but they sent the wrong one have to wait till tuesday now glad to know thats all we have to do to fix it though thanks for letting us know later ger
