Nearly finished with new house construction. I am installing cabinets and lots of ceiling speakers. Got me one of the Rotozips and I am impressed. It does the job as advertized. Pretty rugged too - dropped it 20' and only the handle popped off.

If needing a tool to cut lots of circles or odd shapes in light materials I think this is the ticket!

Just got Flex Shaft Attachment along with some Dremel bits and tools. Gives you a lot more things to use the unit on. Grinding, sanding, small cut off. Worked nice to clean up some small parts for painting. Even did some body work on an old unit

They work good for carving pumpkins too.

They're a really great tool. Keep in mind that the bit on that thing is running at nearly super-sonic speeds...wear safety goggles! I broke a bit and a piece of it hit me, but not in the face.

Hey Shep have you tried it on 1/2 hardwood plywood or do you think it will handle a job like that? I am getting ready to build some cabinets and was thinking of looking into one of those things. Thanks and have a great day Willy

I've cut 3/4" particle board and 3/4" softwoods with mine so I'd imagine it would cut plywood too. It's not as fast as a router but it fits where the router won't usually. Just make sure and hold on to it. The other poster is right about safety goggles, those bits really hurt when they break.

Lowes has them on sale now - REBEL model with 90 degree attachment head for $98. Earlier this summer they were asking $169. FWIW

Not yet but I have some solid oak stair railing I will be tackling tonight to see what happens. I also have some 3/4" oak veneer plywood I was going to play with. This will be used to line a library and to make shelves.

They claim it will cut 1" materials i.e. hardy board, tile, masonite, OSB, solid surface acrylic counter tops etc. Check back with me monday if I don't post first.

I went through 3 of the rebels removing the mortar from my chimney before I realized the heat buildup was killing the forward bearing. Once I got the extension I had no problem. I was using the bigger carbide bit. It is so much better than using a couple of masonry blades in a skilsaw like some sort of masonry dado setup. There is a lot less mess. I'm on my 4th rebel now. I'm sure the other three are back at rebel HQ with some engineer saying to himself "what did this guy do?!"
