I have a 1992 Ford F-150 and when I push the Overdrive Cancel Switch the off light does not come on. The truck shifts normally, I just can't shut the overdrive off. I tested the switch with an Ohm meter and it appears to be fine. Anyone else ever have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have the same problem with my '95 F150, which I've had for 2 months. Couldn't cut off the OD with the switch while driving, but if I pushed the button while stopped, the OD would cut off. Now the switch won't work - period. I just read in a forum on the f150.com website that the culprit is often the wire breaking in the steering column, while the switch is actually OK. Sounds like that may be your truck's problem. If I get that far with mine, I'll let you know what I find.
