I have a Chainsaw Sach-Dolmer and do not know the model # all I can read on it is 8 1/2 h.p. It is red with a 20" bar. Could anyone help me identify this saw and let me know whether you can get parts and where. Also what should the compression be. Thank You

Go over to Arboristsite.com and post a photo.

Compression of a good used saw should be in the 125-160 range. That's warmed up, with the choke and throttle open.

One last thing: Dolmar used some kind of weird math is figuring their saw's HP. They've never made a saw that's really 8.5HP.

Try Link and follow the pages to find a distributor. All pages have a link to email, and the one US distributor found in Texas has an email link on the search results page.
