When I saw your posting it made me laugh. Reason being because the brake that you are mentioning is the one that I designed and built. The brake that I fabricated for the guys on the Hobart site isn t a sheet metal brake it is for bending 1/8" flat bar. However, it can be easily scaled up for bending sheetmetal. So far, I have scaled it up to a machine that can bend about a 3' wide peice of 16ga. Stainless steel.

For anyone interested in building this brake the Hobart site has all the info that I provided on it. Jack doesn t have all the info on his site yet.

Click on the Hobart link that Rod posted. It will take you to the section of the Hobart site that I posted all my brake material on. To find all the material you may need to go back 20 or 30 days. It starts out with some dimesional drawings. If you need any help with it I visit the site daily. My design is very simple. The entire machine can be built in one weekend. If you have any problem finding my info on the Hobart site you can contact me via E mail and I will help you find it.
