Does anyone know what kind of a tool you can use to grind tires for tractor pulling? I've tried grinding wheels and sander discs without success. Thanks!

Try posting this in the Pulling section here, then hopefully we will get some more options since I'm interrested in this also.

Try a local commercial tire company or a retread place they may tractionize big tires "they call it siping tires" nowadays. Good luck.

They make a special disc that goes on a 7-9 inche grinder that is made of steel with like a laser weld metal grit on it , you can get them from a tire tool supply house . That is one nasty job and it will also scrap out a grinder in no time . If you are going to do this then get a real heavy duty 9 inch grinder and keep it blowed out and be extra careful that just the tire get ground and not youbecause that wheel will EAT YOU .
