I have just got a new camper. We wired into the main harness wires on the frame. But the wire coming from my onboard camper battery goes to the center jack on the camper plug ( this is listed as the aux power wire ) . My question is where does it go to on my truck? I have a 93 f250 7.3 diesel .

With a test light, check to make sure the factory trailer wiring harness is working properly(left turn, right turn, marker) and you have a good ground. Ford has been known from time to time to incorrectly install the trailer harness.

I build forestery equipment from time to time and I will give you the wiring sequence I use on the trailers.
Black- running lights
White- ground
Red-brake lights
Yellow-left turn
Green-right turn Brown-also use for running lights
Blue-ABS braking system

I don't know how you trailer or truck is wired but I would think that Ford Motor Company would be able to tell you the color sequence and you can then adjust the trailer accordingly. The sequence that I gave you above is for Semi trailers and so it may have a different sequence than a smaller rig. Also, I can't tell you how many new trucks I have seen wired wrong, on the pig tail, from the factory.

Jason,
Try cleaning your connector pins and ground. Also, check your light bulbs and make sure the bases as well as the contacts are clean. I have a 96 F350 with the factory 7 prong connector and use an adapter to connect to my car trailer. I spent an hour and a half Sunday morning trying to make my trailer lights work properly for the trip home. I wire brushed the trailer four pin connector, ground wire eye, bolt and hole, and cleaned the tail light bulb base around the pins. Good luck!

I have a 88 beretta and the trailer lights were wired for a 6-prong hook-up. How do I remove that and replace it with a regular 4-prong flat trailer wiring harness?

If this is a 1999 Super-Duty F250, There is a well labeled bundle of 7 wires in front of the rear bumper in addition to the factory installed 4-pin connector. You can wire a new 7-pin connector to these wires. This will give you your electric brake wiring, back-up lights, and battery charge wire in addition to the turn signal/brake lights.

I always resort to my test light to check out the plug and adapter on the truck and my battery charger to check out the lights on the trailer.

Amazing how many 7 prong plugs I've found were wired anyway but right. Factory installed oughta be right though.
