Well it is time to think about SNOW again ha ha.
I have a 6.5 foot fisher plow assembly off a jeep mounted on my David Brown 990 the tractor has a remote port and I have an old control handle and some hoses but the cylinders have not been used for many years at least 8 now the neighbor has a 12 volt winch with chain not cable that came with his plow for his Ford truck that looks pretty neat to me what would you guys suggest a winch or a hydraulic lift for the blade.
regards
rod

A point you might want to consider, winches and hydraulic over electric consume a lot of electrical power. Pure hydraulics might rob a little horsepower, but overall should be a better advantage.

I think you'd be happier with the hydraulics. Winch will be slow, and lots of opportunities for the cable to snarl.
